Surveying Didomi employees on their satisfaction at work

 

The Great Place to Work program consists in an anonymous survey that companies can send out to their employees to learn more about their experience, and acquire transparent insights into their happiness at work. The benefit from such surveys is that employers can:

 

  • Receive unfiltered feedback from employees who might not feel confident to speak up publicly about potential issues

  • Customize their survey to measure what matters most to their business

  • See how they stack up against the best companies in their industry

  • Make strategic business and managerial decisions based on the results 

 

The methodology behind the Great Place To Work model stems from research and follows strict criteria, inviting employees to fill a survey, consisting of  60 closed questions, 2 open questions and 8 demographic questions.

 

At Didomi, we sent out the survey by email to 148 employees, who had 11 days to reply. With 116 replies, our survey benefited from a 78% response rate.

After an audit of the answers and managerial practices of the company by the Great Place to Work organization, businesses that obtained a minimum score of 65%positive responses can become certified great places to work (the certification is valid for a year).

 

Additionally, the survey results can be broken down further, with insights for each team. This allows for a finer analysis and can help managers make micro adjustments accordingly

Life at Didomi: Great Place to Work survey results

 

To understand the answers from Didomi employees (we call ourselves "Didomians"), Great Place to Work breaks the results down into a general Trust Index score based on 5 categories, according to their Trust Model

 

  • Credibility: The way in which employees perceive management's ability, communication and integrity

  • Respect: Whether employees feel respected and supported by management 

  • Fairness: How fair do employees perceive the various managerial policies in place, including the equity and impartiality of decisions

  • Pride: The feeling employees have about their own individual impact, and pride in the company as a whole

  • Camaraderie: The sense of community among colleagues 

 

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete, each question offering the possibility to answer on a 5-point rating scale, from "Almost always untrue" to "Almost always true". Here are the results we obtained at Didomi:

What stood out from the survey was a large emphasis on the flexibility offered to employees. The remote culture with offices around the world and the possibility to work from the Paris office seem to have a big impact on employee satisfaction.

 

Other recurring themes were the international work environment, with employees in 37 countries, as well as the flat management structure.

 

Overall, we feel that the survey results were very positive, and want to focus on continuing to grow as a great place to work. The next step for us is to share the results internally and to schedule workshops among teams to work on some of the improvement areas we identified. We hope to get even better results and employee satisfaction in 2023!
